The Fear of Failure

Now, don't we all have that fear. The fear of failure. You won't try something because you "know" it's going to end with your hopes/dreams in a heap of ruin. You don't want to look bad in front of others. You just can't stand failing period.
Well, is the fear of failing really something we need to be afraid of? The Bible tells us that we can do all things through Christ who gives us strength (Philippians 4:13). So, what do we have to fear? Yes, God might allow us to fail, but He has a reason in all things. Plus the Bible also says that God works all thing together for good if we are of those who love Him (Romans 8:28). Get out there and follow God's calling, not fearing that you will fail, but knowing that if you fail, God will work it all out and make you grow through it.

  1. Nice post, I think it's a big issue nowadays. I would like to add a couple scriptures though:
    1 John 4:18 (KJV)
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
    Joshua 1:9 (KJV)
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
    Exodus 14:14 (KJV)
The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.
